| Mads Blangstrup was born in 1974. He was admitted to the Royal Danish Theatre Ballet School in 1983, apprentice in 1990, corps dancer in 1992, soloist in 1997 and solo dancer since 1998. |
| His principal lead and title roles at the Royal Danish Theatre include Romeo in Romeo and Juliet, Prince Siegfred in Swan Lake, Basil in Don Quixote, James in La Sylphide, Albrecht in Giselle, Prince Desiré in The Sleeping Beauty, the title role in Onegin, Genaro in Napoli, Des Grieux in Manon, Count Vronsky in Anna Karenina, In the Middle, Somewhat Elevated and Etudes. |
| His principal soloist appearances include Tchaikovsky's Pas de Deux, In the Middle, Somewhat Elevated, Etudes, Bolero, Stepping Stones, Fearful Symmetries, Symphony in C, Jardi Tancat, Jazz, Return to a Strange Land, Ash, Ønsket, Lysander in A Midsummer Night's Dream, Lensky in Onegin, Prince Paris in Romeo and Juliet and Espada in Don Quixote. |
| Other appearances include Gala performances in Europe, Japan and the USA. Performances on tours covering much of South America and South Africa with Principal and Soloist Dancers of the Royal Danish Ballet. |
