| Silja Schandorff was born in 1969. She was admitted to the Royal Danish Theatre Ballet School in 1975, apprentice in 1985, corps dancer in 1987, soloist in 1991 and solo dancer since 1992. |
| Her principal lead and title roles at the Royal Danish Theatre include the title roles in La Sylphide, Manon and Caroline Mathilde, Odette/Odile in Swan Lake, Aurora in The Sleeping Beauty, Kitri in Don Quixote, the Ballerina in Etudes, the title role and Myrtha in Giselle, Hilda and Birthe in A Folk Tale, Hippolyta/Titania in A Midsummer Night's Dream, Hannah Glavari in The Merry Widow, Penelope in The Odyssey, the Princess and the adult Clara in The Nutcracker. |
