| Rose Gad was born in 1969. She was admitted to the Royal Danish Theatre Ballet School in 1978, apprentice in 1985, corps dancer in 1987, soloist in 1989, and solo dancer in 1991. |
| Her principal lead and title roles at the Royal Danish Theatre include the title roles in La Sylphide, Caroline Mathilde, Giselle, Romeo and Juliet and Manon. Odette/Odile in Swan Lake, Aurora in The Sleeping Beauty, the ballerina in Etudes, Teresina in Napoli, Eleonora in The Kermesse in Bruges, Hilda in A Folk Tale, Penelope in The Odyssey, The princess and Clara in The Nutcracker,the ballerina in Piano Concerto No. 2 and Victorine and Eliza in La Conservatoire og Polacca. |
| Her principal soloist appearances at the Royal Danish Theatre include Pas de deux in The Flower Festival in Genzano, Andrea in The King's Volunteers on Amager, Hermia in A Midsummer Night's Dream, pas de deux in Yesterday,Tchaikovsky's pas de deux, Russian girl and Waltzing girl in Serenade and Tzigane, all three muses in Apollon, pas de deux in Zakouski, the student in Enetime,Partita,Nomade and Caverna Magica by Alvin Ailey. |
| Other appearances include assigned to Das Hamburger Ballett 1997-99 as solo dancer where Rose Gad performed as Titania in A Midsummer Night's Dream, Louise in The Nutcracker, and Viola in Vivaldi. |
| Her creations include the title role in Flemming Flindt's Caroline Mathilde, including Polacca and Hvisken og svæven by Anna Lærkesen and pas de uuatre in Swan Lake by Peter Martins. |
| Rose Gad has received a number of grants and awards, including the first Eurovision Competition Award in 1987. She was also awarded the first Erik Bruhn Award in Toronto in 1989 and the Simon Spies Foundation Grant in 1995. |
