| For many years now the Danish American Society has honored individuals for their
contributions and accomplishments in the communities where they have lived and
worked. |
| This year the Danish American Society has chosen one of Denmark’s best known
sports figures, Mr. Morten Andersen, as 2008 Man of the Year. Morten Andersen,
the National Football League’s career leading scorer and holder of many NFL
records will be honored at a Gala Dinner Dance on May 9, 2008 at the Loeb
Boathouse in Central Park, New York City. |
| After starring and setting several records while at Michigan State University,
including a Big Ten Conference record 63 yard field goal against Ohio State
University, Morten was named an All American in 1981. His NFL records include
all time leading scorer and career leader in field goals. Morten has played for
the New Orleans Saints, the Kansas City Chiefs, Minnesota Vikings and the New
York Giants (Go Giants!). |

Gala will be donated to the Ronald Mcdonald House of New York City, Inc .in honor
of Morten Andersen. |
| Since 1978, the Ronald McDonald House of New York City has served as a
home-away-from-home for families whose children are being treated for cancer in
New York City hospitals. Children are our most precious resource and with Morten
Andersen’s support, their future will be brighter than ever. |
