Society, honoring two of Scandinavia's most prominent people who have devoted themselves to supporting Danish, Swedish and Scandinavian culture and business in
the United States for almost 50 years |
| Ib, a Dane, is a former vice president for North America at the Danish-owned Moller Steamship Company-Maersk Line in New York and has been
a tireless member of Danish American Society's Board of Directors for many years. Ib currently serves as the DAS Corporate Secretary. |
| Elfi, a Swedish-Austrian, is a scenic and interior designer and as founder and chairperson of the Art Committee of the American
Scandianvian Society. Elfi has been curator of more than 60 Scandinavian art exhibits in New York, presenting the work of over 250
artists. Through these exhibitions, many emerging artists from all five Nordic countries have been offered the opportunity to show in New York. |
